Five-piece melodic indie pop-rock mavericks Friday Night Hero formed in 2006 out of a chance meeting of long time school friends and fellow musicians.
Sharing a collective passion for infectious hooks and melodies, talented songwriting capabilities and hypnotic arrangements, Friday Night Hero bring a fresh wave of sound to the musical table.
With diverse backgrounds the band can claim to be international in the truest sense. Call it fate or inevitability, it seemed an obvious choice to settle in the seaside town of Brighton with its unmistakable presence in the British music scene.
2008 has proved to be an exciting year so far; finalists at the prestigious Indy Music Awards for ‘Best Live Act’, as well as recording an EP in London and Paris, and selection at the ‘Brighton’s Finest’ show in the Brighton Fringe Festival it’s only set to continue. They have also featured on the BBC, for 6 Music and Southern Counties, and been selected as ‘Band of the Month’ and ones to watch by Total Guitar Magazine.
Boasting an already heaving gig repertoire ranging from regular stints at institutions in their seaside hometown, to gigs at Dingwalls, Concorde2, Water Rats, Sound, Barfly, the Clapham Grand, various festivals in the UK and Europe as well as a royal invitation by the Grand Duke of Luxemburg, their international calling card only intensifies, securing a solid fan base far and wide.
The future is bright and they are certainly ones to watch.

Somit hat für dieses Multi Kulti Outfit das Jahr 2008 auch schon vielversprechend begonnen , mit einer Nomination für die berüchtigten Indi Awards als beste live band in Grossbritanien, den Aufnahmen in London und Paris zur neuen E.P. und fest eingeplanten Sommer Gigs in ganz Europa.

Partageant une passion collective pour des refrains et des melodies infectieux, des capabilites de composition talentueuses et des arrangements hypnotiques, Friday Night Hero lancent une fraiche vague sonore sur la table musicale.
Avec des provenances diverses, le groupe peut affirmer d’etre international dans le sens propre du terme. Que ce soit le destin ou bien l’inevitabilite, il semble normal qu’ils aient choisi comme base la ville de Brighton, avec son incontournable presence sur la scene musicale Britannique.
2008 s’est averee une annee tres excitante jusqu’ici; ayant recu une nomination pour les Indy Music Awards, enregistre un EP a Londres et a Paris, et ayant ete selectionnes pour le show ‘Brighton’s Finest’, au sein du Brighton Fringe Festival.

Leur futur est brilliant, et c’est certainement un groupe a suivre.
