"friendships is an art project. One part music. One part visual. We paint a lot. We write music a lot. We talk & drink + smoke. Human stuff. We work really hard and sometimes pull each other to pieces until we have it right." friendships are an audio/visual 2 piece from Melbourne, Australia. Their sonic landscape is bass heavy and draws on tribal influences that mix with drum + bass and alternative electronica. This is coupled with a visual component that throws large scale, dark and brooding visual imagery over stages when performed live. friendships also exhibit work in gallery spaces. 2014 and 2015 has seen friendships develop internationally, 2 highlights being a support for Erykah Badu & Thundercat at Low End Theory [LA] and a sold-out show at Pianos [NY]. In Australia, they have supported Shigeto, Cashmere Cat, Mr Carmack, RL Grime, Mark Pritchard, and Sinjin Hawke.
