"Radio-Canada: Bedroom Sessions review"

“Love that leaves you empty, betrayal and dark tales serve as soundtrack for these sexy and decadent sessions: effective. But mostly: the multi-talented artist gives us some excellent songs…” - Tony Tremblay

"Bang Bang magazine: Bedroom Sessions review"

“Mixing driven electro-rock with punk and glam to bitter lyrics about love and – obviously – midnight affairs, the dark character passes the test of the first album easily. Orgasmic creation made in the master’s bedroom…”

- AP

"Montreal Mirror weekly: Bedroom Sessions review"

“…Frigid makes a brand of electro-fied glam rock that has been known to leave listeners feeling a little filthy, to say nothing of the live show … ”

“FRIGID’s new disc, Bedroom Sessions, packs the insanity of the live act into polycarbonate plastic form surpringsingly well.”

- Jack Oatmon

"Hour weekly: Bedroom Sessions review"

"...everything is here: very solid performances by Frigid, obsessive attention to the aesthetic, and just the right level of sound engineering to elevate the well-executed tunes to club status."

- Jamie O'Meara

"Voir weekly: Bedroom Sessions review"

“…Surfing on big guitar riffs, but mostly on powerfull melodies that get stuck in your head. Frigid delivers a bomb.”

- Stéphane Martel

"La Presse: KINK! review"

“Crunchy compilation…it rocks … deliciously furious.”
( 4 stars, perfect score! )

- Phillippe Renaud

"Radio-Canada: KINK! review"

“Really an excellent compilation …Refreshing, energetic, entertaining, wild!”

- Claude Rajotte

"Nightlife Magazine: Bedroom Sessions review"

“…It’s confirmed: Frigid is not frigid. His music is like a box of chocolate that gets eaten up quickly, to calm impulses and feel a bit of human warmth.” - Sarah Lévesque

Bio

Frigid brings new life to alternative music and the electronic movement by giving a unique extravagant and sexually charged dimension to his work. With a background including years of classical piano lessons, an intensive training in ballet and contemporary dance, a successful career as a make-up artist and an undeniable DJ reputation, the multi-disciplinary artist is continuously evolving and expressing his uncompromised self.

Elected Montreal’s “DJ of the year“ by readers of ICI magazine in 2004 and 2005 ( taking the #2 spot right behind DJ Champion in 2006 ), Frigid redefines the limits of DJing since 1998 with his festive ecclectic set lists, his contagious charisma and his exciting concepts.

In 2001, the enigmatic character is already a staple of Montreal’s music scene with the smashing success of his weekly “Overdose“ night. He soon works around the world aside many internationally acclaimed bands and DJs ( Plastic Bertrand, Tiga, Ladytron, Miss Kittin, Tommie Sunshine, Le Tigre, Nina Hagën, Vive La Fête, the Kills, Bloc Party, Interpol, etc. ).
In 2004, he launches “KINK! “ his independent record label and presents a DJ compilation under the same name. Many stylish videoclips are shot not long after, announcing the release of a first album titled “Bedroom Sessions” in the fall of 2006.

The entertaining performer is finally back on stage. The live shows are physical, crazy and intense. Surrounded by his talented collaborators, Richard Martineau on guitar and Peepshow Pat on drums, the driven artist creates a real happening everytime. Cleverly combining his multiple talents with the raw energy of his original songs, Frigid redefines the art of performance.

Wild at heart, Frigid exudes an energetic excentricity and a sex-appeal that leaves no one indifferent. Something refreshing in today’s music industry, which features mostly predictable and saturated acts.
