Fritz's latest, the self-produced A Folk 'n' Roll Christmas, is sure to become a holiday favorite! This release brings Fritz's signature "Folk 'n' Roll" energy to the forefront, showcasing lots of vocal harmonies, instrumental solos and creative arrangements of these Christmas classics using the traditional Appalachian roots instruments you've come to expect. Fritz and his band of merry elves will give your holiday cheer an extra dose of enthusiasm!

Fritz Schindler's debut EP, Sunlight Breaking Through the Trees (produced by Brian Bunn, guitarist for Third Day and Decemberadio) released in December 2013 and songs from the project have frequently played on college radio stations in multiple states. The deeply personal songs weave stories of struggle, discovery, tough choices, disappointment, and ultimately hope.

Bio

Fritz Schindler is a whirlwind of musical enthusiasm. His energetic live shows combine him playing a vast array of traditional Appalachian instruments—mandolin, guitar, hammered dulcimer, bouzouki, banjo, percussion—along with his versatile singing voice and occasionally a few friends. Frequently added into the mix are live-looping and layering techniques, combined together to make a unique and spell-binding experience we like to call Contagious Folk ‘n’ Roll.

The talented multi-instrumentalist singer grew up in the epicenter of Appalachian heritage, Berea, KY, and is proud to now call Radford, VA his home. Fritz and his wife, Andrea, have two daughters, two dogs, and a house full of laughter and music.

Fritz’s debut EP, Sunlight Breaking Through the Trees(produced by Brian Bunn, guitarist for Thomas Rhett, Third Day and Decemberadio) released in December 2013 and songs from the project have frequently played on college radio stations in multiple states. The deeply personal songs weave stories of struggle, discovery, tough choices, disappointment, and ultimately hope. Promoting the album led to Fritz performing live for two Roanoke TV stations and later giving several live remote interviews for a Kansas radio station.

Fritz and his band released A Folk 'n' Roll Christmas! in 2015 and supported it with a multi-city Christmas tour by the same name to rave reviews, featuring guests Ted Yoder, National Hammered Dulcimer Champion and Aidan Broadbridge, Native Scottish Fiddler.

Over the years, Fritz has shared the stage with such notable acts as Hawk Nelson, The Vespers, Raymond & Ruth McLain, The New Coon Creek Girls, Nevertheless, BlueTree, Ilia, The Afters, and 7eventh Time Down. In 2014 Fritz began touring with a full backing band, playing concerts, churches, and festivals in Tennessee, West Virginia, and his home states of Virginia and Kentucky. In 2015, Fritz hit the road again with his talented backing band, The Saucy Fellows, as well as playing a few solo shows, both featuring more instrumental songs, live-looping, and as always, the signature smile and warm enthusiasm he brings to every stage.

Dates for shows in 2016 are being booked now, as well as a few dates remaining in 2015.
