Bio
"One of the best bands on the local scene... all of them superb musicians and songsmiths." - Graham Rockingham, The Hamilton Spectator.
Alt-Country, Americana, Canadiana, Hard Folk... Whatever you call it, it's just great music. Fry Truck has been turning heads in the Hamilton music scene since their first show at This Ain't Hollywood in 2012. Since then they have become known as one of Hamilton's "super-groups", bringing together the stellar songwriting of Dave Pomfret, Dan Medakovic and Chris Altmann, with the superb musicianship of Carrie Ashworth (bass), Robin Pirson (drums) and Matt Coleman (fiddle). Fry Truck has performed three times at Hamilton's Supercrawl Festival, as well as performing over 100 shows at various venues in the city. Their music is pretty, gritty and family friendly - well suited to a large festival stage or corner pub. This is a colletion of musician's musicians, and there shows are often attended by the best players in town and the most discerning fans.
