Frydah

Born in Mexico City, Frydah leads the music in the soul. From a family of music lovers, the love for music and art was instilled on her from an early age.

Frydah studied classical ballet for more than 11 years, ballet put her numerous times on the stage. However, she always knew that his biggest passion was singing, activity that took place wherever it was possible, even several coral assemblages.

At the age of 12, Frydah began to explore the world of the composition, discovering her ability to communicate through music and the possibility of connecting with people through a song.

During highschool Frydah collaborated on radio programs and university magazines, activities that allowed her interaction with musicians and singers that encouraged her to pursue the dream, singing professionally. It is then, when she started with basic studies of music, and recorded her first “homemade” demo.

Looking for some way to perform formal studies, Frydah decides to enroll at the Fermatta Music Academy (Berklee College of music / BIN).
During her first semester, she formed “Bánghera”, a rock band where Frydah belonged for over 4 years.

After Bánghera, Frydah took part of some other music projects but she never left the idea of having her own Solo project. Also, her singing teacher, Jorge Negrete, encouraged her to keep on composing and recording as much as possible.

In 2010, Frydah presents her own pop songs to Alejandro Abara, a recognized Mexican producer, who developed (next to some other recognized musicians) Frydah’s pop material “Azul Transparente”. While this album was being prepared, Frydah met Christian Ortega, who decided to get involved in the project producing “Lado B”.

While the production was taking place, several podcasts, radio stations, and important brands invited Frydah to participate on festivals, so she looked for the best musicians around to grow with them as a band.

Since this is an independent production, Frydah needed to show her talent somehow. So, after several shows with her live band, she decided to record a Live DVD in which people around the world, fans, bookers, etc. can prove the quality of pop music done “out of the box”.

Influenced by several and diverse artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, G&I Gershwin, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, The Beatles, Céline Dion, Madonna, Shania Twain, Michael Jackson, and a long long list, she composes new songs all the time.

Nowadays, you can find Frydah’s music on iTunes and listen to her on international podcasts, Youtube and Facebook, social media has been extremely important.
