We say

Think back to all those great funk-influenced acts that you've loved from the past. Remember how the songs they made used to lift you and instantly put a smile on your face, like some sort of musical elixir. Well, take all of those elements, flash-forward to now and you get Fudge & The Frequency. This song is the lead track from the group's EP Wake Up The Funk. Fusing together the greatest retro sounds and blending them for a 2014 audience has led to the band's recent live performances being raved about and producers from both The Voice and The X Factor approached front man Fudge Jarcheh to take part in the respective shows. We think he's been wise to resist their offers. Sell out gigs at London venues including Camden's Jazz Cafe, the Borderline and Islington Academy have all helped the word-of-mouth buzz on the band spread and you can see what all the fuss is about for yourself at the launch of the video and single at London's Drury Club on June 17. Stevie Wonder has already declared himself a fan. Perhaps they could start prescribing a daily dose of this on the NHS from now on too. Get funky.

Bio

Fudge and the Frequency are an unsigned energetic music collective who are telling the world to “Wake the Funk up!” Lead singer Fudge looks just as cutting edge as he sounds. His voice has a soulful rawness to it that cannot be taught or trained

Their music is a fusion of funk, soul, dubstep, hip-hop, rock and reggae, which the act have coined Futuristic Funk, with the voice of Fudge sitting perfectly in the middle of this soundscape, the listener is drawn into The Frequency by the clever lyrics and fresh tone. The vocals have been dubbed a mixture of Jamiroquai and Stevie Wonder with a futuristic punch in the face.

Core Frequency

Lead vocalist Fudge is a headstrong artist with a clear vision of what he wants from his music and how he wants it to impact upon the world. In staying true to his musical beliefs he has turned down offers from major labels willing to sign him as a pop dance music act and approaches from producers of TV’s X-Factor and The Voice. The singer says, "I would rather sing the music I love to 10 people then sell out arenas with something I am not passionate about".

3-Dimensional Music

When Fudge and the Frequency bring the live show to a venue near you make sure you do not miss out. Since bringing their Futuristic Funk sound to the London live music scene, The Frequency have performed to sell-out crowds at venues including Cargo, the Clapham Grand, the Borderline, the O2 Academy Islington, the legendary Jazz Café and Kensington Roof Gardens, where they were described by management as, “The best live act we have ever had here.”
