Fuga

Formed in 1997 in the neighborhood of Pompeia (SP), FUGA has been
gaining more and more acclaim in Sao paulo's Music scene. The band composed of Danilo Carpigiani (lead guitar), Pericles Crapigiani (vocals), Marcio Zaganin (drums), Ingo Andre (base) and Ale (keyboard/base guitar) creates a sound with orginality and atitude.
Fuga has recently released their first official CD: "Cada Soldado um
Trator". All the guitars in it were recorded by Danilo who had the
pleasure of having severeral M. Zaganin Custom guitars available for the recording process. It was only after the completion of the Cd that Ale (who recorded keyboards) joined the band officially.
"Cada Soldado um trator" is an independent album, recorded at The Brainless Brothers studio and produced by Fabio Ribeiro and the band. For the recording they used Cakewalk Sonar as platform and for mixing the album Pro tools was used. "the fact that this is an independent album makes it harder for the band to distribute "Cada soldado...." , but we know what we want and believe in our music so all difficulties are easily to overcome.", says Ale.
FUGA is now working on pre-production for their second album by the
end of the year.

Fuga -cada soldado um trator


The neighborhood of Pompeia has always been birthplace of great bands
since the 70's. Fuga is not an exception to that rule. Formed in 1997 they have 2 other albums under their sleeve as well as their new Cd "cada
soldado um trator". But they claim their work wasn't at the standard they wanted it to be so they made little noise to sell their previous albums.Now, with a more mature sound they are dedicating themselves full time to bring it to as many people as they can. July 30th they played
"centro cultural de sp" with great success.The music is reminiscent of Janes Addiction and Porno for Pyros. The sound is hypnotic (especially in O ceu nao e de ninguem), filled with psychedellic and distorded guitar sounds. The vocals and lyrics are incredible and base and drums just add to the perfect mix and match of sounds. overall their sound is a refined pop/rock with a little experimentalism.
One or two tracks are more hard rock, with a lot of 80's influence (Nao Pense em Parar).The album is filled with different sounds, and the quality of the lyrics together with experimentation makes cada soldado um trator unique and certainly a hit among the IN crowd of SP.

This is a band formed by experienced musicians that ravished the music scene in Sao paulo. The pop-rock mix is mature and intelligent, with witty lyrics by Pericles Carpigiani, that talk about relationships and daily ordeals of the modern society. This demo is practically a finished album, with 11 well arranged and well produced tracks. "O céu não é de ninguém" a hipnotic tune that opens the CD is the most memorable.
