Bio

Fulcrum of the Stars is a meaningful project for singer-songwriter and guitarist Jeremy Exelbert. After discovering his musical abilities at the age of 14, when he picked up his first guitar, and after being a member of several other groups, he has finally found his sound. Named after a verse from “Out of Real Time”, a poem written by his deceased father, Exelbert feels that this band connects him to the parent he lost at such a young age. Although he spent a semester studying at Berklee College of Music, Exelbert gained most from listening and learning from his influences. Despite his original focus on jazz, Jeremy Exelbert decided to search for a more original sound, one he could use to relate to others on a deeper level, and began writing original songs with this goal in mind.

With bassist Daniel Bailen, and drummer Alex Raderman, these three born and raised New Yorkers make up an eclectic and creative indie rock trio that capture the artistic image of what it means to be distinctive. Influenced by a vast array of music, such as The Police, St. Vincent and Jimi Hendrix, Fulcrum of the Stars can easily captivate any audience’s attention with its catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics.

Formed in Summer 2012, Fulcrum of the stars has played prestigious rock venues such as the Middle East, The Downstairs, and All Asia in Boston, as well as Piano’s, Arlene’s Grocery, Sullivan Hall, and the Bowery Electric in downtown New York City. Fulcrum of the Stars recently released a demo independently. Be sure to give it a listen on any of their social media outlets and check them out at their upcoming gigs at Piano’s on December 20th, 2012 and the historic Bitter End on January 3rd, 2013.
