FullStop

The band FullStop was started by Rusty Chavers and John Lansdale in 2007. We started out playing together with drums,piano, and vocals in a garage. Three guitar players after our original start we found our match Josh. He understood the flow and feel of the songs so well that he became our right hand man. After four bass players failed to meet the interests of the band we finally found Sam the Slap king to play bass for us. He encourporated an amazing funk style with our classical sound! We then began to play shows around town. We are college trained musicians and in our music theory/sight singing and ear training classes we met Melody Choat who later became our back up vocalist. Being classically trained in choir she adds an amazing vibe to the vocals. We work hard to make our music heavily influenced by our vocal harmonies as if they were melodic instruments themselves. Our music is very organized in the way classical music is. We use the Sonata format frequently as did Mozart. We play an unique style for musicians our age (all of us are between 20-26) and thus it is difficult to find bands to play with that mesh well with our style. We are usually the odd ball at the venues we play. It is generally a lot of metal and punk rock and then we stroll on the stage and give them something new =) Everyone tells us they like our music but then immediatly ask what style it is? We love to play and we hope that everyone who hears our music will enjoy it.
