Bio
Funk-U mainman Hawk hails from Arkansas, where he shared stages with a who's who of gospel and r&b greats.
In California he hooked up with bassist/producer/gun-4-hire Willie, who in another life produced Hollywood/Disney's Lounge-A-Palooza CD, best remembered for Steve & Eydie's orchestral rendition of "Black Hole Sun" and P.J. Harvey's trip-hop take on Was (Not Was)/Frank Sinatra Jr.'s "Zaz Turned Blue." (We swear we're not making this up....)
Hawk and Willie then set out to play a series of legendary duo gigs that made the White Stripes, R.L. Burnside and Tony Joe White all look like pussies. (Actually, they really like and respect R.L. and Tony Joe and just say that to piss off people who don't read this far.)
Before long, Kelly, Alan and Ed joined the party and they all lived happily ever after....
