Furrowed Fox

Our band Furrowed Fox formed at Loughborough University in late 2008 originally as a five piece band doing gigs comprising of cover songs by bands such as Nine Black Alps and The Subways. However we've come a long way since then, in a transition that has involved a couple of line up transformations, changes in musical direction and many, many gigs, whether it be in the pouring rain or at 4am in a sweaty club!

We now showcase our own material in our live performances and we are always in the process of writing new music. Our live set is upbeat, energetic and lively, and we like to engage with our audiences throughout our set in order to truly capture the best atmosphere. We like to think that we are quite unique, as we don't really categorise into a specific genre, we're too heavy to be "indie", too light to be "metal", and too irregular to be considered as "punk" or "grunge". We like to think that this difference in our sound is what captivates audiences.

The band in its current form has been together since January 2012 and with much new material and enthusiasm we're well prepared to get back to the midlands scene with gigs in March and April. We are influenced by the music and attitudes of bands like Queens Of The Stone Age, RHCP, Faith No More, The Subways, Cage The Elephant, Nirvana, Blood Red Shoes, Biffy Clyro, Brand New, Feeder, Franz Ferdinand, Nine Black Alps, Led Zeppelin, Interpol and Sonic Youth to name a few.
