"Once Again"

Led by energetic and charismatic singer-bassist Billy Buchanan, Fusebox has just released a stellar second album called Once Again released on Elevate/InPop.

"LCMS National Youth Gathering Concert Reviews"

Thankfully Buchanan’s voice is a joy in itself. I might be a little uncomfortable jumping to make a comparison to Lenny Kravitz and Seal, hoping that comparison isn’t just due to Buchanan’s skin color. However, the official Website biography makes that same comparison. With Buchanan’s funkiness spilling out through his bass and voice, cover versions of contemporary songs and Fusebox originals take on the low down and dirtiness of soulful music.

"Fusebox CD"

Billy Buchanan has written or co-written seven of the ten songs on the new release with subject matter dealing with dependence, devotion, and deliverance. - Eden.Co.UK

"!Hero: Live On Stage DVD Review"

Not only did Tait, St. James and Stuart deliver an expected and very impressive performance, I was floored by the talent of some up-and-coming artists. Billy Buchanan (lead singer of FUSEBOX) gave every indication that he is going to be around for a long, long time. His vocals added a dynamic to the rock opera that would have been difficult for even the most seasoned musician to achieve. - CCMNI

"Musician Has Message For All"

But Buchanan is not just for younger people, the 10th-grader said. His music spans many styles, from high-energy rock, to slower jazzy renditions, to tomorrow night's acoustic sound in an intimate setting.

"Once Again"

Originally assembled as Rebecca St. James’ live band, Fusebox began writing its own music and opening for St. James on several tours. But with the release of the band’s second album, Once Again, this group is proving worthy of independence.

"Fusebox - Once Again"

With the debut of "Lost In Worship" Fusebox announced itself as the former back-up band of Rebecca St. James. Now with their sophomore release "Once Again", Fusebox propels them forward solely independent of associations.

"Once Again" is not the usual modern worship that flooded the scene back when "Lost In Worship" was released. This album has more of a guitar driven sound with very catchy riffs and choruses. The sound is more like contemporary rock with elements of worship, and there is a fair balance of rock anthems and rock ballads.

"Rock Worship!"

Wow!, The band Fusebox has really managed to put all of the musical pieces of the puzzle together on this release. The result is 11 tracks, (37+ minutes) of musical delights for the ears. The band has come along way from their beginning as the backing band for Rebecca St. James and her opening act on the, "Reborn," Worship God," and "Worship God Encore" tours. With this release the band takes their rightful place in the musical spotlight. This is one of those rare projects where everything comes together and results in a CD filled with wonderful and interesting rock edged worship music. Band lead singer and bassist Billy Buchanan adds vocals that ooze with deep and heart felt emotions. If you're looking for an edgy worship experience you need to get this CD!

Bio

Lead by Dove Award nominee singer/songwriter Billy Buchanan, Fusebox's mix of driving guitars, soulful gritty vocals, hypnotic beats, and worshipful lyrics, are a contagious combination. Gaining popularity with the radio singles "Once Again," "Every Move I Make," and "Look What You've Done," Fusebox has shared the stage with an impressive list of artists including, Switchfoot, Casting Crowns, Rebecca St. James, The Newsboys, Building 429, Reliant K, and Superchic[k], to name a few.

Having endured an abusive father, poverty, and eventually his parent's divorce, Billy encourages listeners with songs of hope and restoration. He describes his music as a blend of “concrete and dirt.” He explains, “I was raised in Cleveland, OH, but my family was originally from Georgia, and brought a lot of that culture with them. I would hear pop, hip-hop, and dance music on the street but at home, and at my grandparent’s houses, I would hear soul, country, and gospel. It all rubbed off on me.”

As you listen to Billy’s songwriting over the years, you can hear his growth musically, lyrically, and spiritually. Having endured band member changes, record label letdowns, and music industry fads, Fusebox is the epitome of perseverance and consistency in a business that’s always evolving, all the while maintaining their ministry focus.
