Nigel The Great

Nigel Phillips was born in Columbus, Ohio but was moved to Cleveland at only six years old. Since the first grade he has been interested in music, learning classical music at Cedar Hill Christian Acadamy. In third grade his family could no longer afford to send him to a private school and Nigel was enrolled in Cleveland public schools. Here he was exposed to hip hop for the first time. This is where the legend of Nigel Phillips began. Taking a classical approach to hip hop while adding techno to the mix, he created a unique sound that is distictively different from the mainstream sound of the time. He started his own production crew he called Futuristic Soundscan Productions, calling his style "the music of the future." Taking the name "Nigel the Great", Nigel said he was posed to take over the gamewith this futuristic movement like Alexander the Great took over the world. Nigel still makes tracks that are different from everyone else while at the same time staying in the heads of all who are exposed. Welcome to the Futuristic Movement.
