Bio

Fuze brings together two generations of musical influences to bring a unique blend of acoustic rock. Emily's lyrics reflect the voice of an angrier generation and when coupled with Boyd's retro guitar rhythms and Mark's killer vocal harmonies, it creates an uncommon sound. It's like CSN&Y meets Sheryl Crow.

Boyd and Emily had been in another band together for about a year when the two decided to create a duo. After numerous writing and recording sessions, they knew they needed a third member to round out their new project. They found it by chance when Boyd had the idea for a jam session with Mark G. "We were covering an Eagles tune, I think it was 'Best of My Love', and when we came up on the harmony parts, it just sent chills down our spines...the good kind", says Emily. "We knew we had found the final piece of the puzzle."

The band went into the studio in January 2005 to write some more songs for their debut CD, 'Better Days', released in July 2005. Primarily you will hear acoustic pop/rock songs with an occasional blues and southern rock/country song thrown in for variety. "We don't just write strictly one genre of music, if we can write a blues tune, we'll do it", says Boyd. Adds Mark, "We don't have musical A.D.D., we just write what comes out, no matter what genre."
