FV was formed in 2017. Tim Waldron began FV as a project for himself and it quickly grew. The band met via old bands, mutual friends, and chance meetings at shows. "It took an hour for us to become best friends," said by Evan King. The first release FV put out was the Fake Love EP, no longer available on streaming. The EP contained the original version of Fake Love, Grandeur Eyes, and Too Lost/Too Late. The band later released a string of singles; a new version of Fake Love, Moth, 19, and Soho. Music Videos for Fake Love and Soho are up on YouTube, as well as Vlogs the band takes on their journeys. The band left school and moved to Philadelphia together. The band makes their "gloom pop" hits all on their own and continue to work without the help of a record label or management company. FV plan to release their EP The Phantom Dance Department soon.
