Backed by Original Lifestyle Ent, New York‘s G Cam releases his latest offering, Nobody Cares: My S.A.D. Story. The 13-track mixtape features contributions from Antoinette Witt, Riel, and Keturah Davis with productions by Chris Mecca, All Rounda Productions, Anno Domini, Epik The Dawn, Downtown Music, XXX Productions, Vybe Beatz, Joey Cutless, Superstar O, and Blind Beats.

Musical Influences: Tupac because he spoke for Black America, Notorious BIG because he talked about the life of average NY artists trying to make it, Nas, Eminem, Kanye West, and Kid Cudi for his creativity and originality.
Standout moments: Hot New Hip Hop just awarded me as HNHH Heakseeker artist. They will be posting my Paranoid music video on their site/YouTube account this Saturday. That was a real eye opener for me thus far on my musical career.

If you can sign a deal with any label, what label it will be and why: Atlantic Records because they are what Def Jam was in the 90′s (Shoutout to Success A&R for that positive meeting) or Interscope because I feel like I would be great over there. They [Interscope] would give me room to be me and creatively original. I would also sign with Roc Nation or Good Music because my image and sound fits with their brand.
Any other projects are you currently working on: I just released my latest mixtape, Nobody Cares: My S.A.D. Story. I will be releasing the official music video for my next single “They Know” featuring my artist Riel early July. I also have a few singles I will put out after this project while working on my second major project. I’m already 10 songs strong.
Five years from now I will be: Signed to a major label or my indie company, Original Lifestyle Entertainment will be just as strong as any major label.

G. Cam, born George Cameron, on, September 6,
1987, is a New York rapper, songwriter. Raised in Harlem, NY, Cam was a quiet
kid, with no friends. He focused his attentions on the arts. His way to escape
reality was through writing poetry and through that he developed his love for
music. He started using his poems to spit lyrics and the neighborhood took
notice. As he became familiar with Hip Hop artists like, Tupac, Nas, he
ventured into song writing. His life became his motivation and
inspiration.
In August of 2005, he went to North Carolina where he studied, Business
Administration at Shaw University. Around that time he started taking his music
career more serious. He started networking with people in the music industry
and was offered a record deal with an independent label. Things were looking up
for his career until, April of 2006. Cam received a call that would change his
life; his father was murdered. Alone, confused, and with no direction, life had
to be faced head on. There has still been no arrest, leads, in his father’s murder
case.
In May of 2006, G. Cam was home for good residing with his mother and siblings.
He continued to work on music and recorded his first single, “Get Money.” The
single was featured on an Unsigned Hype Mixtape, hosted by DJ Bedtyme 357. By
this time he realized that music was what he wanted to pursue as a fulltime
career. He purchased studio equipment, and began to engineer his own
tracks.
G. Cam has continued to work on his music, gaining him the attention of an Atlantic
Record A&R, a venture that taught him a lot about the industry. He is now
working with a new team, a new outlook, and new material. His music is being
played across the college market, with the influence of Nasty Nes of Rap Attack
Live. He was also chosen to appear in Faces in Crowd Showcase at S.O.B.’s. With
an incredibly solid mixtape released under his belt (The Psycho), and upcoming
LP, Paranoid, G Cam is steadily marching the path paved by his NY predecessors,
