"REVIEW: WARBUKCS ENTERTAINMENT - AUSTIN ALLSTAR STATEMENT"

Austin, TX is full of budding artists with immense talent. Warbukcs Entertainment took it upon themselves to bring 25 of Austin’s artist and create a compilation titled, “Austin Allstar Statement.” The 14-track compilation features rappers as well as R&B artists. Throughout the project you’ll hear the likes of JB Da Best, Casino, Tflasha, Mic Trey, G-Nutty, Chris Chirp, Gerald G, King Solo, Young Dolla, Lil J of the LOEGz, and many more. Lil Mike Your favorite MC hosts the entire compilation.
This compilation was well constructed when it came to which artists were on what songs. It was constructed very similar to a DJ Khaled album. No artists sound as if they didn’t belong on a particular song. Also it was a nice mixture of Austin’s younger generation on songs with veteran rappers, wasn’t just young guys on songs with other young guys and vets on songs with vets, for instance “How I’m Living” with Lil Chris, G-Nutty, and Jody J, or “Twerk That” featuring JD Ba Beast, Young Dolla, and Crowley who is one the R&B acts on the project. The R&B artists blended well on the songs alongside the rappers, nothing sounded forced.
The compilation was very up-tempo for the most part. There was only really one slow song, “Conversations” featuring Laurell Bay, JB Da Beast, and Danie B. This was the only song for the ladies. I felt the project could’ve used more song of this content to balance out the hard gritty street raps that dominated the project. “Austin Allstar Statement” was a great project for Warbucks Entertainment. They really took the time to construct the project and choose whom they wanted on what song. The work shows. Production was complimenting to the artist. Producers like Bangga Beats, Nutty on the Slap, Taylor Boi Beats, crafted beats that fit the individual styles of the artists on the tracks. Once again a very well constructed album. - Fresh Prince of the ATX
