Discography

In August 2012 she released her first EP "Bite Me".
"Bite Me" is a break up album. Determined to make something productive out of her pain, Gabi wrote. During this difficult time, instead of tears, lyrics flowed out of her like a fountain, creating the 5 tracks that are "Bite Me". These songs were produced by GianCarlo Castillo, Berklee school of Music alumni.

"Vuela"

"Vuela" is a song about a woman taking a stand for herself. It exemplifies the saying "If you love something set it free, if it comes back to you it was always yours". This song makes a play on words to the spanish translation of this quote "Vuela pajarito vuela" - "Fly little bird fly" Musically it can be described as an electro bullerengue, a cumbia based, drum led dance tune.

"Mujeres"

"Mujeres" is an ode to women. The chorus literally says "Women are beautiful, fun, powerful, proud, fighters, tireless, divine and intelligent". It is a song to the sisters and mothers. It is an upbeat, rhythmic anthem that gets all the women dancing. It has been played at NYC's Que Bajo?! It is an electro merengue.

"Do it"

The song "Do it" represents the moment in time when a person is just beyond done with arguing. It speaks to the audience of listeners, encouraging them to do what they want to do now. And to the significant other it expresses resignation saying "I don't even care anymore, do whatever you want to do". This is the only english song of the EP. It is best described as latin house.

"Un Beso Pendiente"

"Un Beso Pendiente" is a ballad in which the artist confesses her hidden affection and secret desire to kiss the lips of man she has never kissed. It is a soulfully smooth bachata.

"Se Acabo"

"Se Acabo" is an ironic song of conflicting emotion. On this track, Gabi sings about how the relationship is over but then goes on to list all the things she loves about her man. "Se Acabo" is a fusion of salsa and dub step.

Born in New York, she spent her childhood in New Jersey and her adolescence in tropical Dominican Republic. Gabi began performing when she was 7 years old, demonstrating her versatility as an artist. She played the piano, sang in her school choir, took every dance class available: tap, ballet jazz, hip hop, samba, merengue, salsa, bachata, etc. Gabi is a fluent bilingual in Spanish and English; she speaks some Italian and French conversationally.

One of Gabi's biggest influences is Shakira, not only because she is a great artist but because she is humanitarian who founded the Pies Descalzos foundation. This is a Colombian charity which builds special schools for poor children in Colombia. Gabi desires to follow Shakira's lead. Her life's passion is to dance and sing everyday for the rest of her life because it is who she is. Music runs through her veins. Gabi is a passionate artist who exudes a contagious, positive energy as she performs. She lets the music move her and embraces the natural rhythm and God given talent of dancing. She wants to become the next Latina superstar but is not in search of fame or money for herself. She is driven so that she can take a stand and be a voice for the less fortunate members of society. Gabi's mission is that every child in Latin America be educated and empowered to follow their dreams and become productive members of society. She is currently working on her first documentary, Dumb Paradise, which highlights the education system in her native Dominican Republic. She hopes to use the film to inspire a movement of awareness and action, leading to the transformation of her country.
