Gabriela Pepino, this young Brazilian singer and songwriter is a difficult task. Dedicated and focused, her life has been a search for what makes her feel complete. Her voice shows her personality and listening to it, is what best describes her. Powerful enough to make some noise, kind enough to stir up peoples feelings, and good enough not to stop listening. What makes her music different is that she sings about ordinary feelings and people can actually identify themselves with it. Her voice has soul and life of it..s own. Such talent is hard to develop.

Gabriela has had vocal lessons since she was twelve, and being around the best teachers, has given her the technique she needed to become a great singer. Gabriela has had the opportunity to study at one of the most prestigious singing schools in Brazil, Babaya Escola de Canto, and to work with Babaya herself, where she began to find her own path. Among performances in her hometown, Gabriela..s success became obvious. She went to the U. S to study at Berklee College of Music and to understand a little bit more about herself, her voice, her writing and her music.

When returning to Brazil, her career has got a huge impulse. Her performances became regular and she found her own way of interpret song, and making music. Partnerships with Gilvan de Oliveira, Babaya and others, has given her an extraordinary development. She has participated in the last 3 editions of Tudo e Jazz- Jazz Paralelo Festival in Ouro Preto, Savassi Jazz Festival in Belo Horizonte and Gilvan de Oliveira's concert at the 2009 Conexao Vivo.
