Raised on a cattle ranch bordering Arkansas and Oklahoma, Gabriel Edmondson's musicianship has grown from humble beginnings. Self taught from the age of 9, his interest in guitar helped propel his practice of music. Mimicking and emulating personal hero's such as Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, RHCP, and Bo Diddly, he developed a highly acute sense of soul at a very tender age.

With no music theory background well into his high school years, he continued to hone and strengthen his musical being. Chosen to his home state's prestigious Arkansas Governor's School he was selected to perform as lead tenor in a choir of some of the states finest singers.

From there, he went on to perform as a showcased solo artist for the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts. This celebrated and distinguished group of young Master artists as well as true Master teachers, was kind enough to award Gabriel with their Silver Award for Contemporary Voice based on the quality of his performance for them. This would prompt a letter of commendation for outstanding achievement in the arts by the governor Brad Henry of his birth state of OK. The NFAA would later invite Gabe to appear in the production "How Did they Get There" at the Ziegfeld Theatre in NYC, where he would receive his award from Alberto Domingo, esteemed son of Tenor Placido Domingo. This experience possessed the utmost passionate value, and the people that were connected through it will remain so. The YoungArts week will forever inspire and influence Gabe and his journey through music.

During a brief stent at Berklee College of Music provided by a partial vocal scholarship, Gabriel worked tirelessly to learn finger-pick style of guitar, while he continued to befriend a plethora of like-minded, incredibly talented, and very original musician friends. He will continue to promote and pump up those fellow students of music for "the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena" [JFK]. For him, the music field is that arena, and those bold enough to traverse it deserve all the credit they may afford through their quality.

Since his stay in the great Northeast, he has come back home to focus on writing and performing his music. Playing proffesionally since the age of 15, now 23 years of age Gabriel's forms have merged into original expressions, both composed and autoschediastic. He works to perform and record tangible sounds of building, healing, disecting, destroying, analyzing, and confusing. He continues to build his potentiality into reality. The vibrations of heartache, contempt, release, appreciation, past, and future can be found in the technique of his soul. Thank you all for your interest in this page and of this music.
