THE STORY SO FAR………

Formed in 2001, Gael Slí hail from Dublin, Ireland and bring a fresh vibrant air to the traditional Irish and folk music scene. One of the few breakthrough folk bands in the new milennium, Gael Sli are fast
becoming one of Ireland’s great exports... The Slí (as they are affectionately known) have been touring the USA and Europe for the past 3 years, with US highlights including the Indianapolis Irish Festival (invited for 3 years consecutively) and appearances on Channel 9’s Morning News and at the CBS St Patrick’s day party at Fitzpatrick’s Hotel, Chicago.

In Europe, the band have been making waves through regular touring as well as appearances alongside acts such as The Pogues and Four Men and A Dog at high-profile Celtic/folk festivals throughout Holland, Germany and Italy.

Summer/Autumn 2005 sees a strong return to the festival circuit in Europe, another tour Stateside and the release of the new studio album "The Sum Of All Parts". A licensing deal for 4 key European territories has also just been signed for the debut album "The Irish Century".

Gael Slí perform an eclectic mix of material drawing from the well of Irish and Scottish folk music, featuring original compositions as well as traditional songs and tunes, some already well-known, some unearthed and researched by the band and new to listeners' ears....
