GAEREA

GAEREA is a Black Metal Quintet from Portugal. Emerging in the begining of 2016, the band released it's first EP on November 11 through Everlasting Spew Records, receiving many praises from the worldwide press and stream coverage by websites such as Metal Hammer, No Clean Singing and Cvlt Nation. GAEREA have turned the genre of black metal on its head. While most rehash the classic sound, this Portuguese band take it forward and seamlessly integrate influences from other genres like hardcore and sludge. Sonically defiant and cohesive, Gaerea smash preconceived notions and deliver music they can call their own.


2018 - UNSETTLING WHISPERS  

In 2018 the band signed with the reputed Transcending Obscurity Records to release the first Full Length Album "Unsettling Whispers". Live activity started around January 2017 and since then we shared stages with bands such as Svartidaudi, Mispyrming, Blaze of Perdition, Turia, Gnaw their Tongues, The Ominous Circle, Necrophobic, Nifelheim, [...]. Gaerea toured Europe for the first time in December 2018, playing in Spain, France, Belgium and at De Mortem et Diabolum IV, Germany.
