Hailing from Australia’s glitter strip and crime capital, the Gold Coast – an ideal location for a group of self-confessed southern metallers – Galactic Acid are held together by singular vision and drive. It's that same vigour and rock 'n' rollin' recklessness that fuels Galactic Acid's debut EP, 'Power In The Moment', which has already spawned the quintet's first single, 'Southbound' (as heard on Rebel FM).

And Galactic Acid's concoction of delta blues hooks, raucous vocals and spine-bending musicality has already earned the band a wealth of opportunities. In 2012 the group took out the grand final of the Hard Rock Rising competition, dwarfing tens of thousands of bands in the process.

It's that kind of feat that's establishing Galactic Acid's reputation for being one of the hottest and dangerous live acts to come out of the Gold Coast. The group recently shared the stage with internationals Harmonic Generator as well as national favourites Electrik Dynamite and LORD, wreaking ruthless lawlessness upon the pits of the venues occupied.

Now with these and many more successes in the rear-view mirror, Galactic Acid are gearing up and determined to make 2013 even more unforgettable. The group will embark on their first national tour to coincide the release of their debut EP. So get ready for a head-banging adrenalised year for a sound more addictive than crack.
