Un miler de persones van celebrar el cap d'any a la festa popular del Calisay. Les diverses sales del Calisay van combinar els estils i seleccions de diversos DJs mentre al patí Galetes Franklin va aconseguir compensar les baixes temperatures d'una de les nits més fredes des de que se celebra la festa de Cap d'Any al Calisay."

The concert of Galetes Franklin in the patio of the Calisay was one of outstanding moments of the Celebration of New Year of Arenys de Mar and the opportunity to see them again, after its debut the last spring in the Main Theater. A thousand people celebrated the new year in the popular celebration of the Calisay. Galetes Franklin is a band of Aretha Franklin’s covers... the show, of 2 hours, it’s formed by approximately 35 songs, which almost 40 years ago became very popular into the Memphis singer’s voice. With Galetes Franklin we play every Wednesday morning in COQUI’s house, the drummer, in CARDEDEU, 2 hours ...enough time to make a repertoire’s revision and speak about this pub or this disco will want that we go to play and if they will pay something to us. Sometimes, while we are playing, I think on an image that comes to my mind... I enter in a kind of mirror that reflects the opposite image and i visualize a set of four black men from Memphis, very tall, like basketball players, with two beautiful singers (also black too!) and with an average of age that overcomes the line of 30 years. They have the curious habit of meeting every Wednesday morning, at the time when common people are working, to revise - already they know it - the repertoire of, for example: M ª del Mar Bonet or Lluís Llach (catalan singers & songrwiters... I start to laugh ...the rest of the band look at me and think: " And this one, what is he laughs about? ... and I think: " we are all a little bit mad
