Bio

With members hailing from nearly every corner of the United States, Gallon House Congregation unites in Columbus, Ohio to put their own stamp on American music as they see it. And while their roots reach as far as California, Oregon, Indiana, and New Jersey, the Congregation’s sound is eclectic, yet surprisingly unified, rooted in the American folk and country traditions, with just a slight touch of modern appeal.

Founded in the fall of 2014, the songs of Diane and Dan Myers (guitar and vocals) would become the core of Gallon House Congregation. Their smooth harmonies and imagistic lyricism, alongside the grooves of Dakota McElley (bass) and the soaring melodies of Corbin Pratt (pedal steel guitar), create a rich landscape of sound that paints a picture for the mind’s eye. With Lawrence Durica (drums) holding down the tempo and the added musicality of multi-instrumentalism Sean Marshall (guitar/keys), the band’s membership provides dexterity and flexibility within the American songbook, covering all corners of the genre with ease and precision.
