Bio
Gami is a self taught bass DJ from Wellington, New Zealand. He's only been mixing for just over a year but in that time he's gone on to play at several clubs around the city, including opening for Rene LaVice, Koven and Feint in the early stages of his career. He quickly became a household name around the scene and one of the faces of The A.M Club's infamous Drum n Betty's series. Since then he's been involved in a few DJ competitions, with one of them resulting in him winning a pair of Technic 1210 turntables, and then going on to open for his first indoor festival in late October.
His sound has evolved from simply wanting to be better than a Spotify playlist at parties to captivating the crowd by feeling out what they want before picking up the pace and dropping some blends they'd never have seen coming. With an appreciation for all sub genres within drum and bass and old school dubstep anthems you can bet your bottom dollar that anyone who likes bass music will find themselves unable to stop dancing when Gami's on the 1's and 2's.
Now that he's mixing vinyl he's only looking to improve and hone his skills as a DJ, with eyes on playing major festivals around the country and then the world.
