Love Is In The Air With Bodog and Brooklyn at L'Amours
The horrendous weather couldn't stop seven bands from competing in the Bodog Battle at L'Amours in Brooklyn. They all wanted in on the $1 million recording contract from Bodog Music , but only two were allowed to advance. But you have the power to push a third one through at the Wildcard. Sign up to vote right now and make your voice heard! And you can also buy your tickets to the next Bodog Battle right now. Now let's find out who made it through the night.

Ten Year Vamp was the first act to take the stage. They're a veteran 5 piece with a great lead singer. The hard rock trio, The Garage Batz had pounding rhythms, heavy melodies and conscious lyrics. The Sick List is comprised of two wonderfully talented ladies holding down the rhythms and vocals and three gloriously passionate dudes rockin' the guitars and bass.

But the first place slot of the night went to Hollywood Hangover. Their in your face pop-rock, entrancing piano melodies and intense rhythms had all their fans going crazy through their set. Vertigo were up next with their wild & innovative melodic, synth, pop-rock.

Exit Verona is a talented bunch of guys. It was easy to award them the second place of the night. They had three guitars, metronomic drummer and extremely catchy hooks.

The New Movement was the last act of the night. Two emcees, one DJ, two fly girl back-up singers/dancers made for a visually pleasing and sonically raucous end to the night.

Despite the Mother Nature trouncing on Brooklyn, this Bodog Battle proved to be one of the best. There was great talent through out the night and we can't thank all the bands enough. Don't forget to show your appreciation by signing up to vote and helping one band move forward as the Wildcard winner.

Happy Trails,

Bodog Battle

Bio

The Garage Batz are a New York based trio formed in 1999. With Ralph Fontones on bass and vocals, Manny Piatos on guitar and Giovanni Fusco on drums, our music has been described as Garage Goth with a taste of Punk. The band has been featured on the Overflow with Garry Lee on RadioSeagull.nl, an internet station in the UK, and on various Internet stations in the US. The band has had phenomenal responses to songs like "Shadows", about the tragedy of 9/11 and "I'm in the mood for love", a gritty remake of the 1935 classic. “I never thought” was also featured in the independent film “Dave’s Apartment”. We were described by Bodog Entertainment as having pounding rhythms, heavy melodies and conscious lyrics during their 2007 “Battle of the Bands” competition. After listening to our 5 song EP, you’ll agree the Garage Batz are destined to become a unique sound in today's hard rock music.
