In the spring of 2012, struggling with a CD project that had gone on far too long, I decided it was time to do something fresh and “real” and embarked on a new musical project. The mandate was to write all new songs and capture their true essence by not obsessing forever on things that didn’t matter. No click tracks, no auto-tuners, and no endless editing and polishing. Working with the multi-talented Amy King at Grant Avenue Studio “That Could Be Everything” was recorded over the late spring, summer and early fall of 2012. I didn’t want to waste time doing any demos in my personal studio so I’d just go into Grant and present the song on an acoustic guitar. Amy, Bob (Doidge) and Danny (Lockwood) would make some quick notes and then we’d lay down three to four bed tracks a day with all of us out on the floor playing together. The tracks were then fleshed out and final vocals were added later. It was an absolute pleasure to record that way and I also had the opportunity to co-write two songs with Amy that are included on the disc.

Start to finish “That Could Be Everything” is a blend of songs that touch on the many aspects of love... from lust and romance …. to betrayal and hope …. and everything that lies between.

It was very important that this CD be a true representation of my songs and who I am as an artist. To that end, I’m very proud of this work and if I can connect with people, even one at a time, who get what I do and enjoy my music than that is a great personal reward for me. I feel I’m finally in the “right” place and when it comes down to it ...“That Could Be Everything"
