FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

What Does Gary- Anderson, Elvis and George Tobin Have in Common?

At first glance, there aren't many similarities between Elvis and George. These legendary two never recorded together. And not many people realise that George Tobin was responsible for the sale of more than 25 MILLION RECORDS worldwide. Producing greats such as Tiffany, Smokie Robinson, Kim Carnes, Thelma Houston, Natalie Cole, Tina Turner and Kenny Rogers.

However, for a few brief minutes, the King of Rock 'n' roll and the Record producer from LA do "come together" on the debut CD from Nashville-based Americana-Country sensation Gary Anderson. On his highly acclaimed 12-song independent self-titled disc, Gary Anderson (just released), the singer features new interpretations of pop standards and a new version of a classic Elvis song.

Gary Anderson's new album has become an instant runaway hit, as he covers standards from a slew of legends like Billy Joel, Elton John, Neil Diamond and The Rolling Stones. He combines rock 'n' roll and pop standards from decades past with a smidgen of original tunes for a mix that is bringing him international success.

Alongside beautifully rendered covers of "Angel of the morning", and "Wonderful tonight" he breathes new life into classics like "Green Door", as well as Queen's "Crazy little thing called love", Rod Stewarts "Hot legs", and the hit "You Gave Me A Mountain" by Elvis. Gary's skilful handling of these nostalgic classics earned the respect of the multi Award-Winning Tobin, who discovered Gary and steered him down to Nashville.

Also on board and writer of an original song on the album "Just still Letting Go" is acclaimed billboard hit songwriter Steven McClintock (who has performed with Juice Newton and Garth Brooks). While a solid ensemble of Nashville's finest players supplies the remaining ingredients.

After 20 years on the world stage starting out at the age of 15, Gary has developed a very polished performance and has now toured in 8 countries performing to over 1 MILLION people. "When George Tobin spotted me on a video demo recording," "he called me up and asked me to come across to LA to meet up" Gary say's. "I remember clearly he asked me; "have you ever had a record deal? Because you have a magic! and a great stage presence!"

"After meeting with George Tobin and through his encouragement I zeroed in on a genre: covers of pop's best songs through the ages, and I decided to finally record and put out this CD in Australia on my own to see what would happen," Gary recalls. "All of a sudden, I started getting phone calls from radio stations around the country and beyond. It was wild!"

His treatment of these past gems has apparently struck a chord with the boomer crowd. The disc also features Gary's new "Piano man medley" in which he combines Billy Joels "I love you just the way you are", Stevie wonder's "I just called to say I love you" and Elton John's "Your song" into a unique medley. Two of Gary's own original songs, including the standout track "A Real Good Time," round out the self-titled debut album Gary Anderson.

George Tobin describes him best when he said, "Gary resembles the retro rockers of the 50's and 60's, with hints of Chris Isaac, Shakin' Stevens, and some of the vocal inflections of Elvis Presley, with just a hint of showmanship both old-fashioned and contemporary. This album solidifies him as one of music's great young voices!"

Promoters boast; "You will marvel as you experience this hot young entertainer LIVE!"
