Feeling a bit camera shy

Few singers and instrumentalists can lay claim to a family heritage in Traditional American String Music to rival that of Gary Brewer for longevity and authenticity. His roots in the music go back Six generations to Roan Mountain in East Tennessee. The legendary Finley J. “Pap” Brewer (Gary’s Grandfather) performed frequently on radio in Knoxville and as a youngster appeared on several shows with the original Carter Family, playing the music that formed the foundation of Traditional Bluegrass Music in later years.

For 35 years now, Gary has toured, with performances in nearly all 50 States and 11 foreign countries, Yielding 48 recordings, including such notable guest as, Bill Monroe, J.D. Crowe, Doyle Lawson. Larry Sparks, Uncle Josh Graves, Art Stamper, Dave Evans and many more…

Gary has appeared in nearly every major bluegrass publication, festival or event with encore performances at The Grand Ole’ Opry and The Lincoln Center including various Television Shows and Specials over the years. Gary has stamped his style of music as “Brewgrass” and has carried it to audiences all over the World.

Gary is indeed proud to have his Sons and Father apart of the Show, “It is such a blessing to have my Dad and Boys out here carrying on the Brewer Legacy and Tradition in Music, To step on stage,  show after show with Three Generations of Brewers is just AWESOME!”
