Bio

Gary Ackerman's latest CD release is called 'Remix'. It will be out in Internet Stores throughout the world early April 2010. Mr. Ackerman has had a long musically diverse background. Playing Folk music as a solo acoustic act back in the early 60's along the East Coast of the United States - to playing in the mid 60's with a Massachusetts Rock Band that recorded a 45 RPM Single that became the hit of a small town and the envy of their high school. Mr. Ackerman started playing alongside and with dozens of National and Internationally top chart hit makers, such as The Bryan Fairchild Band, JR Blacker, The Max Tyler Band (voted 'Best of Boston') with their hit single "Lonely Days In Paradise" (written by Gary Ackerman), and the Acoustic Duo; Ackerman/Visnaskas. Gary Ackerman wrote all of the music those bands performed.

Now in April of this year 2010, Gary Ackerman is releasing his newest CD called 'Remix.' This new solo CD Features his new hit single 'Hit The Road.' (Can be played below). Two of the more meaningful and very personal songs on this new release are called 'Eulogy', a song written about the loss of a loved one (his Mom) from a terminal illness, and 'Sepositas Animus,' (meaning distant soul) a 22 minute symphony written about grieving the loss of a loved one.

The song Eulogy and the entire album are being showcased on 19 e-commerce music sites throughout the world such as iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, etc., Bird Dog Records the record label that Mr. Ackerman records on, and at Johns Hopkins - The James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute's Web Site as a fund raising tool. Reason being the CD and the individual songs on the CD are being sold through the Johns Hopkins Brady Institute's website, is, every time a song is downloaded or the CD is purchased through the Brady Institutes website, a contribution is automatically made to the Institute from the proceeds of the purchase to help fund their research in curing terminal diseases.
