Memories Are Forever

I remember when I was ten years old playing at the county park
My friends and I would hit that ball all day long till it got dark
I was Mickey standing at home plate
Wearin’ number seven I was great
I recall those days, the things we’d say
I remember like it was yesterday

Chorus
Those special times
A story from the past
Ain’t it funny how they last
Tho life moves on so fast
You’ll never know just when
You’ll remember now and then
A story that you treasure
Memories are forever

It was Saturday in the afternoon when those wedding bells rang out our tune
All my family and friends celebrated that day seems like we barely had enough room
Seein’ grandpa and grandma dance
Brought a special meaning to our romance
I recall that day, the things we’d say
I remember like it was yesterday

Chorus

A September day when I heard you say honey it’s time we’d better get into town
That old truck was loud as I hit the gas I didn’t care if any cops were around
It brought a smile and then a tear to my eye
When I heard our son shout his first cry
I recall that day, the things we’d say
I remember like it was yesterday

Chorus

Tropical Habits

Tropical Habits

I’ve been comin’ to the islands ever since I was a kid
For the fishin’ and the surfin’ and all the treasures that I’ve hid
I discovered there’s a feeling when you’re livin’ in the salty air
That’s why I keep on comin’ back every single year

Chorus
Tropical habits are hard to break
I can rehab every winter but I still can’t stay away
Tropical habits are in my blood
I mainline on the sea and sand cause the tropics are my drug

I’ve been drinking margaritas on the beach in my easy chair
Decked out in my bermuda shorts and the tank tops that I wear
Watching sunsets on a champaign pool reflecting the painted sky
It’s part of my addiction and some of the reasons why

Chorus

Bridge
I’m hooked like a big ol’ fish
A tropical junkie that’s been sun kissed

Chorus
I mainline on the sea and sand cause the tropics are my drug
