Bio

Bryant's unique talent of melding power rock with jazz and classical music shines on Big World. Within its first month of release, he'd received more than one hundred thousand streams and downloads, reaching the Number 1 Jazz spot at SoundClick.com, featured Jazz selection at Garageband.com and the top ten Jazz play list at Broadjam.com.

Recently, Gary's additional releases included the world fusion instrumental Ocean Walls. In addition, Guitar Games, a pop rock instrumental guitar sampler and Tube Music, a twenty tune compilation of genre-varied music, increased Gary’s library to more than 200 compositions.

Gary is a self-taught pianist, songwriter and composer. With more than a million streams and downloads, Gary’s music has been licensed to more than five thousand YouTube videos. Gary's world fusion music is also available on music sites including Amazon, CDbaby, iTunes, Napster, Soundclick, Rhapsody, Jango and many, many others.

Before the advent of today's digital recording technology, this talented pianist-cum-guitarist got a decidedly lowbrow start in the music business. "When I was just a little kid, three years old, we got a piano. A couple of neighbors dropped off an old upright piano in exchange for a few cans of beer. I took piano lessons for about 3 weeks, that was all the piano teacher could take. I couldn't get through a single piece of music that my teacher gave me because I would improvise as I went. I'd get one or two minutes into a piece and then I'd just go off and start making things up."

This innate musical creativity is the origin of Gary's compositions. Gary wrote one of his earliest songs, "Suite #5," at the age of 15. Recorded in 2005 on the album Imaginary Piano, it's still one of his favorite songs.

Squeezing Gary's music into a single genre has always been a challenge, New Age influences of Yanni, George Winston and David Arkenstone are occasionally evident in earlier work, but Gary's innate leanings towards Blues, Jazz Fusion and Rock ala Yes, King Crimson, and others is often evident.

Gary is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and is a five-time ASCAP award-winner. His piece ‘Behind the Door’ has been nominated for best instrumental song for 2010 by Hollywood Music in Media. He also belongs to The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS).
