Bio
GASPRA (real name is Denis Goncharenko) is Ukrainian musician, DJ and music producer. He's the founder of the first Russian-language EDM online radio station - Chocolate.FM, the head of the Mount Point - the production centre and the new format music school.
Gaspra is the name of the musician talent, creativity and a great sound! He has a law degree instead of a classical music education, but despite this he is one of the most productive sound producers in Ukraine. Gaspra has an excellent taste in music and a true understanding of current trends in the electronic dance scene.
Since 2012 Gaspra is engaged in producing of young bands and singers. In his spare time he travels Ukraine on his "Infiniti" SUV in search of authentic klezmer motives for his new tracks.
His musical creativity is based on a fusion of traditional South Ukrainian, Moldavian, Balkan music and a modern British bass sound. In addition, Gaspra often experiments in adding elements of classical music, waltz and tango to his tracks.
Back in 2010, Gaspra's first officially released track «Sancti Spiritus» (post-dubstep and latino style) has been highly rated on the Best Track in Ukraine contest. The jury has been headed by legendary American DJ and producer, Acid House pioneer - DJ Pierre. He has noted: "This track was really creative. I love the beat and I like the fact that the music is very catchy. This track has a great musical hook that repeats as well." According to DJ Pierre, Sancti Spiritus was the best track in the Electronica genre.
The mixes and tracks of Gaspra have played on British radio stations Rinse FM, Sub.FM, DubstepFM London, as well as on KISS FM Ukraine in the Best Tracks of Ukraine show.
Gaspra portfolio includes remixes of such a popular artists as Skrillex, Ferry Corsten, Steve Aoki, Nirvana, Blur, Adele.
In 2011 Gaspra's remix on the legendary song «Don't stop me now» by Queen has been recognised as the best track in the Talenthouse.com community. That Gaspra has been awarded the exclusive albums of Queen with an autograph and a commemorative collectible book "40 Years of Queen». Also Gaspra has been nominated for "The Most influential Musician of the Year" by Talenthouse.com.
To celebrate the new 2013 year Gaspra produced the new track - «I want to fly», which is already on sale on Beatport Exclusive along with other tracks of "The Best Breaks in Ukraine 2012" collection.
In February 2013 the new single "Little Red Ridding Hood" together with the original music video will be released. Given the large number of musical material accumulated, a release a full album with 12 tracks is scheduled for 2013. Also a shooting of four more video clips is planned. Preparing of 90-minutes live show with the use of the Motion capture technology is in progress.
