Gavin Miller

Gavin began his musical journey playing drums professionally in 1987; at the age of 15. Extending on this in 1992, he began arranging music for local school productions, and then light session work for various artists wanting to record demo's and EP's.

Currently, along with composing his own music, he continues to compose for various individuals who require music for their own projects as well as arrange and perform music for various institutions, bands and individuals.

His musical influences are very eclectic ranging from Mozart to Marilyn Manson, however he is most influenced by the British music scene with artists such as Genesis, Pink Floyd, The Police, Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music and Duran Duran; combined also with international Electronica and Synthpop artists Fad Gadget, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Visage, VNV Nation, Alice In Videoland and the Japanese Darkwave artists Aural Vampire.

Specifically Australian influences include Iva Davies and Icehouse, Inxs, The Models and James Freud, and The Machinations.

Despite this however, he has never limited himself with a particular genre and has gained valuable experience playing in bands from many corners of the table, including Punk, Rock, Latin Pop, Country, Brass and Symphonic, Electronica, Synthpop.

Many of his works are quite thematic and dramatic, designed for specific purposes such as exhibitions and advertisements.
