"Two musicians making a very credible big band sound"

The BBC review of "Swings & Roundabouts" by "Roarin' Greedients" (aka "Knight & Stephens"

Two musicians making a very credible big band sound
Reviewer: John Hellings
I’ve always said that it doesn’t matter how many musicians there are, as long as you can achieve the right sound, and that’s fine. So if you can create a big band sound with less than fifteen or so musicians, then that’s fine as long as it sounds right. Gavin Stephens and his writing and performing partner Harry Knight have certainly done this with their CD album ‘Roaring Greedients.’ Eleven original tracks will ensure that the feet will tap right the way through your listening experience. Isn’t it good that we have the writing talents and ingenuity to produce sounds like this that really do strike the right note. And there’s no pun intended! Even the title of the album, ‘Roarin’ Greedients’ is so original. If you haven’t spotted it by just reading it, start saying over and over to yourself, getting faster as you do. Then you’ll see what I mean. Good luck to them. These two deserve to go far. "An Electic and Infectious mix of the popular Jazz styles"

Press review of "Swings & Roundabouts" by "Roarin' Greedients" (aka "Knight & Stephens")

An Electic and Infectious mix of the popular Jazz styles
Reviewer: Herts and Essex Observer
Gavin Stephens and Harry Knight have combined forces to record Swings and Roundabouts,an eclectic and infectious mix of the popular jazz styles including Billie Holiday-esque smokey bar room croons and Moondance era Van Morrison tunes. The duo play all the instruments between them, with Harry taking vocal and guitar duties and Gavin shouldering the sax, trumpet, piano, guitar, sequencer and "hollerin" burden.
