Eine Woche ist es her, dass das Berliner Musik-College BIMM seine heiß gehandeltesten Newcomer vorgestellt hat. Beim End of Term Gig am 16. März feierte das British and Irish Modern Music Institute seine aktuellen Nachwuchsbands und Solo-Künstler mit einer Party im Musik & Frieden – 13 Newcomer, von denen wir unbedingt mehr hören wollen. Das Ganze lief nach dem musikalischen Tapas-Prinzip ab: Je ein Song pro Act, hoch auf die Bühne und alles geben, denn der nächste steht schon bereit. Das Spektrum reichte von stimmgewaltigem Elektro-Pop (G Λ V R I E L Λ, EVELINE) bis hin zu gepflegtem Alternative-Gitarren-Rock (MICROEXPRESSIONS, Better Strangers). Außerdem mit dabei: Cave Drips, Yetundey, The Funkbrothers, SA_FE, Vian Sleepwalter, Serge & The Blue Racoons, Lecodus and Skid, Martin Mae und Raen Talion. - popmonitor

Despite being a fairly new artist, First Year Songwriting student Gabriela Palfinger Camacho’s ethereal dream-pop certainly stands to attention. Creating ethereal tribal pop drawn from her Austrian-Peruvian roots, Gavriela is an emerging artist who lives and works in Berlin. Hailing from Salzburg and classically trained as a child, she combines orchestral and electronic elements as well as the raw rhythms of the world, to evoke the human spirit and experience.
