G. Bravo

G.Bravo believes that boundaries should never define who you are as a person and you can become whatever you aspire to be because there are boundless heights and no limits to what you put your mind to.

We always feel that you should strive to be better and not succumb to the boundaries and limits people place on you, so we always want to search for new heights and definitely push through and break any and all limits, says G.Bravo.

As a native of The Bahamas, G.Bravo, also known as George Bodie, now resides in St. Louis Missouri. He is inspired by music and after observing other artists and listening to different music, he wanted to do something different with music. He describes his music as Island Hop, which is a fusion of American rap along with Caribbean highlights and sounds.

I just want to bring the actual essence of the Caribbean and fuse it into American Rap and just kind of bring those two worlds together, G.Bravo says.

Rapping has been G.Bravos hobby and innate passion for many years. During his studies at Lindenwood University in St Louis, G.Bravo met many students from the Caribbean and during their leisure they always had a good time, which included rapping to various beats. In 2008, they decided to take it to the next level and later formed the group, F-1 Visa.

Some may wonder why the group is called F-1 Visa. Well, the F-1 Visa is one of the most important documents an international student must have upon entering the United States to attend college. All of the group members including G.Bravo, Barry Nous, and Fly Life came to the United States on the F-1 Visa. When the group was formed, the F-1 Visa was the most unique commonality among them. So they decided to call the group F-1 Visa, symbolizing their entry as students into the USA. Their motto New Heights, No Limits also highlights their personal creed.

G.Bravo will hit the market with his first mixtape the Melting Pot. This first project is titled the Melting Pot because it is an actual blend and melt of different sounds from different worlds. She Holding On is the first single on the Melting Pot and it was released in May 2013.

The first single can be found on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, and Google Play. More singles will be released by the end of the year and G.Bravo, along with F-1 Visa, is the group to look out for in the near future.

Fusing rap with Caribbean music will spark a new interest in music and show that there are truly no limits in the creation of music. For persons who want to have rap and Caribbean music in one package G. Bravo is the answer.

In the near future, it is G.Bravos hope to rise to the top and be embraced as a rap artist in the USA, the Caribbean and in other countries around the world.
