First up will be local blues singer and songwriter, Ged Bedrock who has fronted many different blues bands before deciding to go solo with his own brand of slide guitar and largely self penned material. In addition to playing tonight Ged can be seen at several venues at the forthcoming Ramsbottom R&B Festival on 18th/19th/20th June. Ged will be on stage at 8.30 pm and is a great start to the evening…’ - Bury Met Arts Centre

"blues from the soul - 3 track CD"

‘…this is a nice little demo and a good intro to Ged’s music. The songs are all well put together. A good solo artist, with a sense of humour and some good blues and blues influenced songs…’ - R Jim Greaves Blues in Britain magazine

"Feature - Radio Lancashire"

‘…Ged Bedrock oh he’s a boy. He’s the most enthusiastic jammer I have ever met…mister enthusiasm, a cracking entertainer…’ - Andy Stones/Nick Dow - Lancashire Blue Notes

Ged Bedrock despite his name is no Flintstone. He could play a whole variety of styles and won the admiration of a lot of the crowd.

Bio

Picking up where John Lee Hooker left off, Ged Bedrock is a troubadour taking his own brand of blues to the people.

As a solo acoustic blues artist Ged Bedrock drives his soulful voice across an array of blues styles.

Often humourous always engaging, Ged Bedrock is a truly live & intimate experience.

Ged Bedrock roots his music within a love for all blues styles past and present. Ged mixes self penned compositions, blues cover tunes and a smattering of good humour to make for a varied, passionate live performance.

Ged has been playing the blues across the north of England and beyond for many years. Indeed his band ‘Blues at Ten’ built up a large following in the Northwest of England throughout the nineties.

Since going solo in 2003 Ged has released ‘blues from the soul’, a 3 track CD of original material. Ged loves live music and people are starting to take notice of his live performances. Indeed, Ged is rapidly establishing himself on the national blues festival scene.
