Bio
Ged Wilson is a solo contemporary acoustic blues artist from the North West of England. He cites his influences as Miles Davis, Gil Scott-Heron and Lightnin’ Hopkins that have all touched his soul and inspired him to act as their blues agent here on planet earth.
You will find Ged’s gigs are honest, grounded and upbeat. You can expect dynamic guitar rhythms, earthy grooves and blues shouter vocals. There will be mix of harmonica rasps, cutting slide guitar and the odd twist of laconic humour.
Ged has a new album of original songs “what’s going on?” recorded at Lisa Stansfields Gracieland Studio due for release in July 2013. The album is a collection of songs to reflect his moods, thoughts and reactions to the life and changing times he sees around him viewed through his Northern rooted kaleidoscope.
Ged has many gig miles on the clock and in 2012 he played Festivals at Burnley Blues, Manchester Blues, Leyland and Worcester, supported Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion at Keighley Blues and Sean Taylor at The Met Bury and played live on Radio Lancashire.
This is music only a full grown man could make!
