Gee Wiz

David Fasanmade also known as Gee- wiz is a songwriter/rap artist residing in the city of London U.K. He is known for his lyrical depth and stage presence with song contents covering topics that the average audience can relate to.'As far back as I can remember' were his comments, after being asked how long ago he started writing composing and performing. Influenced by the hardships and beauty of the environments he grew up in, as there was too much going on in the family, physical surroundings that music became his escape, the balance created to maintain a mind state of sanity.

List of countries lived in are as follows : Fiji islands, nigeria, The states (n.y, chicago, L.A), The U.K, Turkey, Cyprus, netherlands, Australia, Italy and looking forward to actually going on tour in these locations and many other amazing hiphop oriented locations worldwide.

His mentors come from a wide variety of genres, Rap/hip-hop, r&b, soul/jazz, funk, pop, rock, reggae, afro beats. He tries to imbibe an element of each into his music resulting in his unique sound and vocal delivery.

Artists like Tupac Shakur, nas, Rakim, scarface, eminem, Fela kuti, Micheal jackson, wyclef jean, lauryn hill, aerosmith, bob and damien marley, r kelly, are on the list of those that have inspired him the most.

The name Gee wiz was the end result after so many artistic name changes, each one preaching the lifestyle he lived and each new one preaching the lessons learned from that lifestyle. Shortly before deciding on the name 'Gee wiz', 'Trigga' was what his fans knew him as, desperate for a change of lifestyle Gee wiz emerged. The name can be informally interpreted as 'boy genius', a man who has taken over full control of his life, learned to think out of the box, letting his previous mistakes shape him into a positive image.
