Gel's music is improvisational, american pyschedelic rock with influences of the blues, jazz, folk, and funk.

Based out of Westchester County, NY, GEL has been performing at local venues such as The Bayou in Mt. Vernon, Murphys in Yorktown, and Olives in Nyack for the last 5 years.

Influences include: The Grateful Dead, JGB, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, John Coltrane, Muddy Waters, Miles Davis, Bob Marley, Frank Zappa, The Allman Brothers, The Band, Lucinda Williams, Wilco, Steve Kimmock, Phish, Bill Evans, Art Tatum and many more.

Our experience and passion for music makes us a special band. We don't play because we want to; we play because we must play to feel right. We've all been in bands our entire lives, this is our destiny; to make music that makes us feel alive. We allow the music to flow through us and breathe. We are humbled by it and try to stay out of it's way.
