Bio
Gemma is a 20-year-old country music singer, songwriter from Bunbury, WA. She is currently focusing on song writing to record her debut album, launching in late 2012. Gemma’s greatest achievement so far in her music career, was graduating from the 2011 CMAA Australian Academy of Country Music. The Academy is the leading program for development and once graduating, she gained the skills to formalise her love of music as a profession & is devoted to follow her dream of becoming a professional country music artist.
Some of Gemma’s career highlights include:
- Graduate of Tamworth Camerata
- Performed on the popular morning television show Sunrise
- Support act for many artists including Adam Brand, Melinda Schneider and Shannon Knoll
- Won many local talent quests including the Bunbury Country Club, Boyup Brook County Music Club & Telethon Talent Quest
- Her original song “Passed The Test” ranked 12 in the Coopers songwriting competition
- Dowerin heat contender for 2011 Telstra Road to Discovery
- 2012 CMAA Australian Senior Female Vocalist of the Year Runner Up
- 2012 CMAA Australian Duo of the Year Runner Up
- 2012 CMAA Australian Senior Songwriter of the Year Finalist
