GENAU is a trio that formed late 2013 when Dan Niedziejko (Drums) and Christopher Belkofer (Guitars, Vocals) were joined by Erik Gosnell (Bass). The trio is comprised of band veterans whose respective musical resumes span well recognized midwestern indie combos.

The three spent half a year woodshedding at INDIAN NOT THE ARROW in the Bay View neighborhood transforming space-rock improvisations into real songs with words, hook laden sonic arrangements and mood driven psychic frequencies.  All the while molding, honing, tweaking and perfecting the perfect recipe for delicious original music.

With the first three song EP, GENAU set forth to share it's brand of music to hungry audiences.  Employing Live in the same room recording techniques coupled with cleverness and style GENAU revisits British and American roots from the latter third of the last century while infusing midwestern post punk expression into each song.

The second work - Recorded and Mixed at Bay View's Indian Not the Arrow by the three and mastered by the remarkable KRAMER at NOISE MIAMI, is a full length vinyl record (Street date February 2016) to be supported by a flurry of planned performances.  All the songs were recorded live in the same room, with no instrument overdubs - the sonic document a true testament of the band's live performances.
