The band, from Bellaghy, Co.Derry N.Ireland, are Owen and Enda Strathern (Lead Vocals & Bass / Lead Guitar), Stephen Leacock (Percussion) and new guitarist / keyboard player Stuart Bell.

The band toured almost constantly for over two years. Playing with One Night Only, The Enemy, Kids in Glass Houses and supporting Snow Patrol at the biggest ever concert in N.Irish history. They toured and played festivals in their own right, from New Zealand to Japan, Austria to Ireland. Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Pukklepop, Summer Sonic, Oxegen and in 2011 they headline the 'Re-Introducing' slot on BBC Radio 1's stage at Reading and Leeds.

Their debut album, 2010's 'Buildings' saw them pick up a Kerrang! magazine nomination for best new band, sold out shows up and down the UK and a BBC Radio 1 playlist for their single 'Ever So Shy'.

All that is behind them now as they move forward into their next album. Their forthcoming EP has already produced a 'Hottest Record In the World' accoridng to BBC Radio 1 as well as 'Best Song' in the NI music awards for 'The Age You Start Losing Friends' and thi is before anyone can even buy it!

A new guitarist / keyboard player in Stuart Bell has added a new dynamic to the band. Never looking backwards the band are about to re-enter studio to complete work on their 2nd album due for release in 2012 and to be preceeded by two EP's.

Coming off the back of a sold out UK tour, the band are currently heavily involved in Belfast Music Week which sees MTV coming to town for the EMA's. General Fiasco are performing for 200+ journalists selected by MTV to showcase what Belfast and N.Ireland has to offer.
