Discography

In April of 2005 Dannie called a number that a co-worker gave him to a singer songwriter producer, Garret Treadwell of 3 Crowns Production and KO Sports Promotions. After hearing all the accolades above, he recognized inherent properties in the music that was not in the mix. Garret, a former DJ, retail music manager and predictor of a medium of mp3 cube size player w/o knowledge of internet called back to set up a place to meet the guys.

They met at a place which actually was the first meeting place where Dannie, Buzz and Bill sang Karaoke. With reluctance and a lot questions from both the band and Garret, John spoke up, “you have to hear us live!!! Then everyone piped up and said “lets go give him a sample of what we really sound like.” They then ran down a road to a small little house and at 11:30 pm rocked the hood. Garret was more than impressed. As a Promoter of one degree contacted his brother who promotes the X Fighting Championships, a UFC, Pride Fight and K-1 type Event. As the promoter they had the ability to have the band play at the event, so they did. The people gave there attention as they stood and watched the band play. From that response Garret felt confident that there could be a market for there music. It is almost two years later with the new debut CD and the whole world ahead ready to impact that world at the speed of sound.

Bio

Generation Unknown is a five member band calling Tacoma, Washington Home. Their music is in solid and hard hitting, and can be described as having a modern heavy rock alternative sound with an 80’s Melodic Rock twist. This music has Classic quality and like all great music has an uncanny ability to grab and hook the listener. Too the band, one of their greatest rewards is making music that people can feel. Music to these guys actually means something. “It has to come from inside to truly express emotion and emotion creates emotion!” Says Dannie, the lead singer. “Just about any band can play a song but we create songs with feeling” says Bill. lead guitarist.
This music is like a feast to the rock junkie from the appetizer of clear clean arpeggios to the heavy sounds of an electric guitar that sends that warm chill of anticipation down your spine. Then the boys serve up the main course with the heavy hitting distortion that really makes you groove. Like a great meal, G.U. serves up a desert combining powerful drum beats and lyrics that inspire. Followed by zesty solos that go unheard in the fast food rock you hear today, Which just makes you want to sing along, Not to mention the Power Ballad in the spirit of Every Rose Has it’s Thorn! Generation Unknown truly is a band that knows what music is and as a writer myself, must agree.

The band was started by Bill, Buzz, and Dannie who, by coincidence were just three friends with one really big thing in common! They have an overactive love of music. For several months the three would get together and play music without a drummer and without as bass player. One day Aaron, Bill’s friend from school showed up and while catching up, the talk of a band came up. So Aaron, with only having a basic knowledge of wind instruments but knew nothing about how to play the bass, later joined the band. With his basic musical background, he was enabled to quickly learn to follow the rocking guitars.
Generation Unknown’s first four songs were written without a drummer. Buzz placed an ad on a band page of a local publication and John the jack hammer answered the ad but was reluctant about playing originals. After hearing the four songs John, the final member to join the band came in and in no-time, became a key ingredient and was able to click with the guitars to bring out the true feeling behind Generation Unknown’s music.
