"Riverdale Reaches For Its Stars"

Genetic Control, whose guitarist and vocalist, Charlie Schiller, was responsible for a popular Haiti benefit at the YM-YWHA last year, also got hips swinging and fingers tapping. Like all the artists who performed, he said he jumped at the opportunity to help a good cause.

“We’re very passionate about the wellbeing of youth,” Mr. Schiller said.

Bio

Genetic Control (the American band) was born and raised in the Bronx. The core of Charlie, David, Danny and Greg's musical cohesiveness is their years  of friendship starting in their early teens. Their influences include The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Nirvana and many other great artists who have stayed true to their rock roots. They approach their work with complexity at times and as fools at play at other times. They were groomed in long distance shrines of the past such as CBGB's, The Continental and Le Bar Bat and continue to perform in such legendary venues as The Knitting Factory, Highline Ballroom and The Bitter End. They're in it for the long haul!
