Robert Hall, known professionally as GENIUS 30 or G-30, is an American rapper and song writer from Chicago, Illinois. Genius was always known to be a talented freestyle rapper, who goes on record saying he’s “been writing music since the 6th grade”. It was only until high school where he started to take music more seriously. He began his professional work in the summer of 2016 following his graduation from Hinsdale South High School that year. With the name Lil Rob, he released his first track with Mono Boy Dolo called “Old Ways”. Hall takes inspiration from his mentor DJ King, a friend growing up and a big brother in life. He gave Hall the message to always Apply Pressure, and that encouragement led him to live a lifestyle in which pressure is always applied. As Hall transitioned to college and a life of Division II Athletics playing football at Winona State University, his drive for music did not stop. While at school, he released 3 “Dorm Flows” tracks that were remixes of popular Future and 2 Chainz songs. Eventually though, Hall felt it was time to transition to something greater in his life and gave up his football scholarship to completely dedicate himself to his music. With the help of longtime friend and producer Jevais Harris, AKA XVIII, he released two 9-track projects, The Climb: J. Cole EP (March 2017) and Insomnia (October 2017), and has plans to release 3 new projects in the Summer of 2018 starting with 'Genius Aura' at the end on June.
