Late night rehearsals have given birth to some amazing sounds - The Chains E.P. was honed this very way with serious jam sessions working out just the right arrangements. Geoff started with the bare bones of acoustic guitar and vocals. Taking these raw demos to the rest of the group, they reimagined the tunes for a rock trio. Drum grooves, bass lines and guitar solos happened organically during practice. The final versions were recorded over three days by Dan Smart at ECHO/NORMAL - a classic Chicago coach house project studio. The final tracks were dropped in the talented hands of Mark Yoshizumi, and mixed with a fresh pair of expert ears. The result: an honest, raw performance that reflects ground-up songwriting and a band who not only loves their craft, but owns their own unique sound.
